Stuarts Point Holiday Park
The quaint timber footbridge is a feature of Stuarts Point and allows you to cross the river and walk through the sand dunes for beach access. For a longer walk, meander for an hour or so through mangroves, paperbarks, banksias and eucalyptus to Grassy Head. Or, take the one-hour beach walk from Stuarts Point Beach over Grassy Head to Grassy Head Beach.
Stuart Point Holiday Park, on the banks of the Upper Macleay River has a protected swimming environment in the rivers shallows. A short walk across the bridge takes you to the long golden sands of Stuarts Point Beach.
There’s a great choice of beach, river and bluewater fishing spots around Stuarts Point. The area is also aplenty with whitebait, yabbies (nippers) and sandworms to collect as fresh bait. There is no shortage of bream, whiting, flathead, blackfish, mullet, stingray and mud crabs in the river as well as snapper and jewfish off the beach.
Stuarts Point is a great place for kayaking and paddle boarding the rivers and beaches, surfing the open beach breaks, sailing, jet skiing, boating or fishing.
